How will using the default Ubuntu setup?

I am looking at a dual boot setup with 10.4.10 being primary. Will Feisty install beside Tiger and give my choice of which system I want? If Feisty is going to change Tiger in any way I don’t want to bother. The terminology In the partitioning setup on the liveCD is new to me. I have 90 gigs of freespace left on my HD so if I leave things as they are, how much will Feisty grab when it installs? Ubuntu is impressive!
