How can I check what journaling mode my ubuntu installation is using? Ordered, Writeback, Journaling Full?

I am trying to make sure that I am using ordered mode but I can’t figure out how to check to make sure! Anybody?

trying to install ubuntu on old toshiba tecra8000. i just wiped out the hard drive with “Darik’s boot and nuke” and now want to insert boot disk for ubuntu installation. should i format drive first, or is there possibly some other task i’ve neglected to perform that i’m unaware of?

I am trying to change one of my computers from a old windows ME to ubuntu, but have failed trying. I have downloaded the iso and burned it onto a cd. I have already used the cd on another computer and have successfully changed os’s with the cd, but I can’t seem to be able to find out how to get to that screen that says what to boot from like my other one did. Please help. Thank you!

I’m about to buy a Dell Mini 9… there’s an option to build it with Ubuntu instead of Windows XP. Aside from the fact that it’s cheaper, why would I want Ubuntu rather than XP? If I’m used to Windows, would I have trouble using Ubuntu???
